New region @ 17:33 / 21 Nov 2008
Dear adoptive parents, friends and colleagues!
Today we are happy to inform you that Izhevsk region is back working fast and well and CHI is expanding its presence in Russia by opening another new region – Yaroslavl! We have great expectations from this region and hope our parents will find it very attractive too.
Just consider: only 3-4 hours drive from Moscow International Airport (175 miles), three easy short trips – first and second trip are only 2-3 days, third one - 5-7 days, one baby-home within the city limit, preliminary information about the referral, active and professional Regional Representative, mild climate and great opportunity to see one of the oldest cities in Russia! Yaroslavl was founded on 1010 and keeps many historical attractions of ancient Russia nowadays. Plus, the city of Burlington, Vermont, US is a sister city for Yaroslavl! To check detailed information, please, visit Regions page. Looking forward to see you in Yaroslavl! CHI Russia team

Count your chickens when they are hatched! @ 18:41 / 16 Sep 2008
Count your chickens when they are hatched!
The fall is almost here and it's the time to count your chickens – the time when they are hatched! We are glad to say despite the delay caused by the re-accreditation we are well on our way this year! By this September we have 79 children adopted from Russia through CHI Russia Program! Just in August we had 11 successful court hearings from our new and old regions, such as Vladivostok, Astrakhan, Tver, Tomsk, Izhevsk, Kemerovo and Kaliningrad! In September we expect 15 families to travel to get their referrals! Kids from Moscow city, Krasnoyarsk, Nizhny Novgorod, Smolensk, Tver, Tomsk, Astrakhan and Vladivostok await their parents-to-be to come and meet them! We are working on opening new regions to lessen the waiting for our families. Please, stay open to new opportunities, continue your prayers and keep hope! CHI Russia team Moscow office Russia

RUSSIA—GEORGIA CONFLICT @ 16:46 / 20 Aug 2008
As most of you are probably aware of, Russia has been
engaged in a military conflict with the Republic of Georgia over the last
several days resulting in civilian and military casualties. During this time,
we have received a number of emails and telephone calls from our families asking
about how this may affect their travel to Russia or the Russia Adoption program
in general. At this time, this crisis does not effect families traveling to
Russia nor does it have any impact on the Russia adoption process. If there are
any changes in this regard, we will update you as they occur.
