 Children's Hope International is an Accredited Agency for Adopting in Russia
This website was created to provide all CHI adoptive parents with full information about the process of adoption in Russia. You will find here the information about regions we work with, differences in the adoption process and Russian requirements, humanitarian projects we conduct in Russia as well as information about American Embassy procedure and explanation on various other questions.
Since the beginning of the program in 1996 about 1500 adoptions of Russian children were completed by American families with the help of our agency. For us it means that many-many hearts are filled with love, faith and hope now.
Our Russian Adoption Program is well-organized and registered in Moscow with full authority to work in all regions of Russia. Our first accreditation was received in 2001 and re-issued every year. The most recent Permission to conduct international adoptions in Russia were given to us in December 2007, it is sign by the Minister of Education of the Russian Federation Andrey Fursenko. We are glad to inform everybody that this accreditation is non-expiring.
Our Program is overseen by our Regional Coordinators who are dedicated to assisting families who adopt there. We have CHI Moscow representative office with full-time staff working with regions throughout Russia, committed to helping you with your adoption. We have worked and traveled widely in Russia establishing relationships and working out adoption details with officials in the central and regional governments as well as with orphanage directors.
